Hello, lovely souls!
If you’ve been following my journey over on Instagram @alexconanillustration, you know that my world is built on colour, tactile materials, and the belief that our homes should be sanctuaries of "everyday magic."
Whether you’ve been here since the early days or you’ve just stumbled upon my corner of the internet, I wanted to take a moment to reintroduce myself and share some very exciting news about what’s landing in the shop soon.
Who is Alex Conan?
I am a Sydney-based artist and illustrator with a deep-seated love for slow living and the beauty of imperfection. My creative path hasn’t always been a straight line, but every twist and turn led me back to what I love most: working with my hands.
From my signature suncatchers that cast rainbows across your walls to my celestial ceramics, my goal is always to create pieces that tell a story. I believe that the objects we surround ourselves with should bring us calm, warmth, and a little bit of wonder.
Coming Soon: New Treasures for Your Space
The studio has been a whirlwind of clay, ink, and paint lately. While these pieces haven't been uploaded to the site just yet, here is a sneak peek at what’s coming:
1. Remembrance & Mourning Altars
Grief is a deeply personal journey, and I believe in the power of having a dedicated space to honor those we have lost. These hand-built ceramic altars are designed to be sacred nooks within your home—whether you are memorialising a cherished family member, a friend, or a beloved pet. Each piece is unique, crafted to hold a photo, a candle, or a small token of remembrance, helping you keep their light present in your daily life. Keep an eye out on the opportunity to secure your very own or attend an upcoming workshop in Sydney.
2. An Expansion of the Suncatcher Series (Featuring The High Priestess)
My suncatchers have become a shop favourite, and I am so excited to be growing this collection. The centerpiece of this new release is a brand-new addition to my Tarot series: The High Priestess. This piece is designed to invite intuition and mystery into your space, dancing with the sunlight to throw ethereal patterns and light across your walls.
3. Hand-Illustrated Greeting Cards
In a digital world, there is nothing quite like the weight of a physical card. This new collection is a true labour of love, utilising a blend of analogue and digital media. Each design begins with the organic textures of traditional sketching and paint before being refined digitally to ensure the colours and details are perfectly captured. The result is a range of cards that feel both modern and deeply personal—perfect for celebrating life’s milestones or offering comfort with a touch of whimsy.
Stay Tuned
I am currently putting the finishing touches on these pieces—making sure every is just right and the details are perfect.

With magic and gratitude,
Alex
