Small Sand Altar- Mermaid

Size: Length 9cm height 11cm width 5cm ( length 3.5 height 4.3 width 1.9 inches) Sizes do vary due to clay’s drying/moving nature and the hand made quality of this product. I take careful steps to ensure it is as close to the measurements quoted.

Hand built using Keane’s white raku (an Australian heritage company with over 40 years in the clay industry), The mermaid and all decorations have been hand illustrated using light blue and black underglaze- each colour painted twice to achieve a true level of opaqueness. This sand altar has been bisque fired then hand glazed three times in order for it to be water tight and give it it’s shiny appearance. With a flat back and water tight base put sand or water in- use this shrine altar as a crystal holder, smudging station, add candles and keepsakes. Can be used outdoors (just think like a ceramic pot), they don’t mind getting wet but just like anything that stays in the elements for long can weaken it. This altar/shrine can be used both freestanding on a shelf or table or you can mount it to wall.
