Daisy Pinch Pot Vase

One of my favourite methods to hand build is to use the pinch pot technique. I teach it in my classes when working in a local studio and it never ceases to amaze me how you came create such different shapes utilizing this technique.

The Daisy Vase was made using white raku clay, I pinched open the bottom and the top and joined the, together, I then extruded a handle and attached it on. I used two layers of black underglaze to paint the daisy flowers and then dipped the finely piece in a clear glaze.
