Size: Length 16.5cm height 22.5cm width 11cm ( length 6.4 height 8.8 width 4.3 inches) Sizes do vary due to clay’s drying/moving nature and the hand made quality of this product. I take careful steps to ensure it is as close to the measurements quoted.
This grand altar is both eye catching and majestic. Depicting the famous immortal winged horse Pegasus- derived from Greek mythology.
Hand built using Keane’s mid fire No.33 (an Australian heritage company with over 40 years in the clay industry), Pegasus and all decorations have been hand illustrated using black underglaze painted twice to achieve a true level of opaqueness. Pegasus has been bisque fired to retain the peachy/pink matte effect this lovely clay transcribes. With a hooded alcove and generous base you can use this shrine altar as a crystal holder, smudging station, add candles and keepsakes and whatnot. These can be used outdoors (just think like a terracotta pot), they don’t mind getting wet but just like anything that stays in moisture long term they can become brittle and break. This altar/shrine can be used both freestanding on a shelf or table or you can mount it to wall.
Made in my little studio in Sydney and stamped on the rear with my custom signature.
